This is one of the coolest pieces of Fender history that has come through our doors. Made for the Hamburg Vintage Guitar show is this 2008 Fender Custom Shop '60 Relic "Beat-Club" Telecaster. It is one of ten and was built by masterbuilder, Mark Kendrick. The body is inlayed with a concrete piece from the wall of the infamous Beat Club, the German music program that ran from 1965-1972. The inlay sits on top of 23k gold leaf! The body is a two piece Alder body and is topped with a tortoise shell top and back body binding with a matching tortoise shell pickguard. The neck is AA 60's straight grain Maple neck with FW slapboard - a very large "60's" C shape. The neck radius is 9.5". Electronically, the Tele houses a Custom Broadcaster bridge pickup and a stock '52 Tele neck pickup. This piece comes out of a private collection of custom, boutique and rare guitars. This piece is very clean and shows little-to-no play time on it. The guitar comes with its original hardshell case, it's certificate of authenticity and case candy!
