Hey Gang! More from our VOX collection!! A 1963 Vox 238 Stroller in Hot Rod Red. Made in England by JMI. This thing is so cool and a great starter for someone who loves vintage guitars or a Vox enthusiast! SEE PHOTOS - She does show some obvious wear and there are some finish cracks on the front and back, but no chipping. There is a small chip on the nut for the low E (SEE PHOTOS). This thing is a classic and a lot of fun to play. It even comes with the original teardrop hardshell case!
The headstock of the second gen Stroller guitar was equipped with a "six on a side" individual tuner set with plastic buttons. The nineteen fret bolt-on neck included a 1⅝" wide slotted plastic nut with a zero fret. Rather than having an adjustable truss rod, the neck was reinforced with an embedded steel rod. The floating bridge assembly included an adjustment for height. "A fine quality soild electric guitar for solo or rhythm featuring Vox high grade electric strings and pick-up. In red or white cellulose finish with polished natural Sycamore neck, separate tone and volume controls and an adjustable bridge."
