Hi Gang! Brought over from Germany. I have two of these 500/1 Hofner basses that are all pretty cool. It's a bloody nightmare to ID. these things. Here's the kicker It has 1960's Nova-Sonic Twin Coil Humbuckers model 511 pickups. Six pole piece. Made by Franz Pix. What a pain in the ass! I think this a late 1060's model, but not 100% sure. I have gone through all the Hofner 500/1 bass books. I'm still not sure what year it is...!!! Some parts may have been replaced. It's in pretty good condition, but not perfect. Come with the original case. Weighs in at 4.9lbs. 30 1/5" neck scale. 1 5/8" nut width. I think? It's been set up and checked out. And of course that "Paperback Writer" tone. They do have their own tone and personality. Any extra info would be graciously appreciated.
