Hey gang! Here we have a 1949 Epiphone Emperor Cutaway with the EARLIEST KNOWN production date, serial number 59079. According to the online data base of Epiphone serial numbers, the earliest known serial number is 59092. This guitar came out of a collection to us and features the original brown case. It has a refinish that was done years ago, but looks absolutely stellar. Replaced pickguard bracket. After checking it out under a blacklight very closely, it appears to have had a neck reset. Everything else about the guitar though appears to be great upon visual and close inspection. The sound that this guitar produces is absolutely phenomenal and nothing else compares to it.
