Hey Gang! Another Rare find here at Guitars West. Feast your eyes on this well played, but certainly loved nearly 100 year old 1933 Martin R-18 F-Hole in sunburst Finish! Come with a non-original tweed style case built for luxury. Overall condition is clear by the photographs that this instrument has been well played and has quite a few player scars and a strong wear on the finish. We've been searching high and low, but have been unable to locate an original pickguard for her, so she will go without. The tuners look to be period correct reproductions, and at one time the D string tuner was possibly a deluxe Kluson by the looks of the indentation. We do see on the sides and bottom of the guitar some possible crack repair, and a small puncture hole near the rear strap-button. Despite it's heavy wear, the guitar's playability is fantastic and sound warm and resonate. A strap button was added to the lower dovetail, but other than the tuners, a fresh bone nut, a top-notch refret, she's all original. Grab this while ya can - they certainly don't come up for sale often in the F-Hole Style!
